- Pediatric Neurologist - Epileptologist

The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology, is seeking a highly qualified epileptologist to join our academic faculty. We are looking for a clinician with strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy, including experience with advanced medical, dietary, surgical, and neurostimulation therapies. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate within multidisciplinary epilepsy care teams, and contribute to the operations of our epilepsy monitoring unit.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the faculty member will play an active role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Engagement in clinical or translational research is strongly encouraged, and opportunities exist for leadership in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and advancing epilepsy care within the institution.
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in neurology and epilepsy, with fellowship training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to academic excellence are essential.

UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital provides care for the children of Florida and is a major destination center for pediatric patients, both nationally and internationally, who require specialized attention for complex medical problems.
UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital represents the only quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida. The children’s hospital has 208 beds, including fully-equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is part of the Children's Miracle Network's alliance of premier hospitals for children.
The Department of Pediatrics is committed to fostering innovation and advancing discovery in the biomedical and psychosocial aspects of child health and human development, educating and training pediatric scientists, and directly translating basic scientific discoveries into new patient-oriented therapies. In the most recent fiscal year, the department was home to over $30.5M in sponsored research.
UF Health faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges, as well as those from across the University. The focus of team efforts is often grown out of the Centers and Institutes, including the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute, the UF Genetics Institute, the Powell Gene Therapy Center, and the UF Health Cancer Center.

Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics.
Candidates should be board certified/eligible in neurology and epilepsy, with fellowship training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology.
